EasyERP AutoLogin: privacy
EasyERP AutoLogin is a Chrome extension that fills the IIT Kharagpur ERP sign-in for you and keeps your ERP session alive while you use it. It is unofficial and not affiliated with IIT Kharagpur, and it does not use CDC Board or any other server.
What it stores, only on your computer
- Your ERP roll number, password, and security questions with their answers, saved when you enter them in the extension's popup. They are kept in the extension's own storage in Chrome and are not encrypted, so don't use EasyERP on a shared computer.
- Your three settings: fill the sign-in page, request the OTP, keep the session alive.
- The times of recent OTP requests (never the codes), so it stays within ERP's limits.
- When each ERP app was last used and last checked, for the keep-alive.
What it sends, and where
- Only to erp.iitkgp.ac.in: your details are typed into ERP's own sign-in page, exactly as if you typed them, and the keep-alive sends a small request to ERP pages you have been using (at most every 5 minutes, and never after 2 hours without activity on ERP).
- The OTP you type from your email is entered on the ERP page and never stored.
- Nothing is sent to the developer or any third party. No analytics, advertising or tracking.
Deleting your data
Click "Delete saved login" in the extension's popup to remove your sign-in details. Uninstalling the extension deletes everything it stored.
